A website for a football school has a very particular target group: its primary job is not to convince the players, but their parents. Anyone signing up a child aged three or over for training wants to know within a few minutes who is doing the coaching, how professionally everything is run and how easy it is to register.

A modern website in this environment fulfils five central tasks:

- It organises the various offerings for different age groups in an immediately understandable way, from nursery-age children through to school children.
- It builds trust through real people: coaches, the patron and their demonstrable achievements.
- It makes holiday camps and training places bookable directly online, without the detour via telephone or email.
- It works just as reliably for parents on the move on a smartphone as it does on the desktop.
- It is built to a clean technical standard: fast, secure, accessible and increasingly readable for AI systems too.

Our case study for [bolzakademie.de](https://bolzakademie.de) shows what this looks like in practice: the complete brand relaunch of the Rostock football school that previously traded under the name Fußballschule René Schneider and today operates under the Bolzakademie brand.

## Starting point: a new brand, big names, an outdated website

Behind the Bolzakademie stands a well-established team from Rostock and the surrounding area. Head coach René Schneider has been training children at his own football school since 2003 and can look back on a remarkable professional career of his own: European champion in 1996 with the German national team, Champions League winner and Intercontinental Cup winner in 1997 with Borussia Dortmund, and second-division champion with Hansa Rostock. Ron-Thorben Hoffmann stands alongside the academy as its patron; he began his own career at a football school and today plays as a professional goalkeeper, having been shaped by, among others, the FC Bayern München youth set-up and his time as a professional at Schalke 04.

Despite this history, the digital presence was still running under the old brand and a correspondingly dated design: a dark layout in front of a brickwork look, a bold “What do you see?” slogan and a carousel of rotating notices about registration and camps. The various training programmes, from nursery age through to development training, were not clearly separated from one another.

The move to the Bolzakademie brand created clear tasks for the relaunch:

- The BLACK LIONS Kitatraining, BLACK LIONS Schultraining, football development training and holiday camp programmes needed their own clearly separated pages.
- The head coach and the patron needed to become visible with their genuine success stories rather than merely being mentioned in passing.
- Holiday camps needed to be bookable directly online, including an overview of dates.
- The transport service covering the area from Rostock to Kühlungsborn, as well as the location and directions, needed to be easy for parents to find.
- The new brand presence needed to feel modern and trustworthy without losing its connection to the club and the region.

The new website went live at bolzakademie.de on 23 July 2026.

## Structure: four programmes, one shared roof

The home page immediately organises the offerings by age and level: BLACK LIONS Kitatraining from the age of three, BLACK LIONS Schultraining for children of school age, weekly football development training for goalkeeper, outfield and individual coaching, plus holiday camps for 6- to 14-year-olds. Each programme has its own sub-page setting out how it works, its benefits and a direct route to registration.

Key figures provide instant orientation: more than 500 children per year, over 150 nursery children and more than 200 school children in training, plus around 10 holiday camps a year. This is backed up by solid facts about training quality: licensed coaches, small groups of no more than 10 players, a modern indoor facility with FIFA-approved artificial turf, along with free Wi-Fi, parking and loan equipment.

## Holiday camps bookable directly: from the date overview to registration

A central conversion element of the new website is camp booking. Every date, such as the summer camp weeks in July and August 2026, is presented as its own card with the period, location, duration, age group and price, complete with a booking button. Parents can see at a glance which weeks are still available, without first having to submit an enquiry and wait for a reply.

This ability to book directly is particularly decisive for camps in high demand: anyone who has to write an email first risks losing their place to faster families. For the coming autumn half-term camp from 19 to 23 October 2026, registration is therefore possible directly via the website.

## Trust anchors: head coach and patron with genuine achievements

Instead of anonymous stock photos, the Bolzakademie relies on two dedicated sub-pages for head coach René Schneider and patron Ron-Thorben Hoffmann. Both pages tell each professional career in a way that is easy to follow and link it directly to the work at the academy: René Schneider has been training hundreds of children at his own football school since 2003, and his best-known protégé today is that very same Ron-Thorben Hoffmann. Each page also features an FAQ block, with questions such as “Who is René Schneider?” or “Does René Schneider coach the children himself?”.

This principle of building trust through specific people and their verifiable stories rather than through generic advertising claims carries over to the home page as well: there, the connection to the patron is summarised concisely, with a direct link to the programmes.

## Design: a bespoke icon set and a presence that suits the sport

A bespoke set of six individually designed icons was developed for the Bolzakademie, capturing the various training focuses visually: equipment and technique, running and speed training, development and coaching, team spirit, recovery and shooting power. Combined with the brand’s red, black and white and grass textures in the background, the result is a presence that is instantly recognisable as a football offering without feeling inappropriate for children and parents.

The responsive implementation ensures that the home page, the patron and head coach sub-pages and the mobile views of the tournament schedule, location map and camps work identically on tablet and smartphone. Parents who take a quick look on their phone between appointments benefit in particular from this consistency.

## Technology: WordPress, security and AI visibility considered from the outset

The website runs on WordPress and was set up to a clean technical standard from the very beginning: security headers such as Strict-Transport-Security, X-Content-Type-Options, X-Frame-Options, Referrer-Policy, Content-Security-Policy and Permissions-Policy are fully active. The security service securityheaders.com confirms this with a top grade of A+.

![Security headers report for the Bolzakademie website with a top grade of A+ and all headers active](https://4eck-media.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/sicherheit-security-header-website-bolzakademie-bestnote.avif)

Accessibility was also part of the implementation from the outset rather than being added retrospectively: an automated WCAG 2.2 audit covering 138 criteria awards the site 90 out of 100 points and 0 critical errors, which means the result counts as “Compliant”. The missing 10 per cent of the score relate to the manual tests that cannot be carried out automatically. This is therefore the highest grade achievable with the testing tool.

![WCAG 2.2 audit of the Bolzakademie website with 90 out of 100 points and zero critical errors](https://4eck-media.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/barrierefreiheit-wcag-audit-website-bolzakademie-rostock.avif)

It is also becoming increasingly important how well a website can be read not only by people and traditional search engines, but by AI agents too. Google PageSpeed Insights now confirms this with a dedicated check called “Agentic Browsing”, which the Bolzakademie website passes with a full 3 out of 3 points. An additional scan based on the “Agent-Native” model already certifies the website at Level 5 with a score of 86 out of 100, including full marks for content quality and bot access control. We describe how we approach this topic structurally in more detail in our [GEO framework for AI visibility](https://4eck-media.de/en/blog/the-4eck-geo-framework-for-ai-visibility-ai-recommendations/).

## Measurable quality: the results at a glance

The figures after the relaunch:

- Google PageSpeed Insights (mobile): 95 points for performance, 100 points for accessibility, 100 points for best practices, 100 points for SEO, 3 out of 3 for Agentic Browsing
- Seobility on-page score: 96 %, with 100 % for meta information, 97 % for page structure and 100 % for the server
- Server response time: 0.25 seconds
- Security headers rating: A+, with all six central security headers active
- WCAG 2.2 audit: 90 out of 100 points, classified as “Compliant”, 0 critical errors across 48 passed checks
- Agent-Native scan: Level 5 with a score of 86 out of 100 points

![Seobility analysis of the Bolzakademie website with a 96 per cent on-page score](https://4eck-media.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/seo-onpage-optimierung-analyse-website-bolzakademie.avif)

![Google PageSpeed Insights report for the Bolzakademie website with an assessment of loading time](https://4eck-media.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/pagespeed-optimierung-ladezeit-website-bolzakademie-rostock.avif)

These figures show that a presence with a bespoke icon set, booking functionality, location map and several target-group sub-pages can nevertheless remain technically clean and fast, provided the foundations are built properly. Only in external factors such as backlinks is there naturally still room for improvement, since the site has only just gone live.

## Best practices from this project

What other sports clubs and football schools can take away from this relaunch:

- Direct online booking for camps and courses generates more registrations than any contact form, especially where places are limited.
- Coaches and patrons with a genuine, verifiable story build more trust than generic advertising claims.
- Clearly separating the offerings by age and target group means parents do not have to hunt for the information that is relevant to them.
- A bespoke icon set instead of stock graphics strengthens brand recognition, even on a smaller budget.
- Security headers, accessibility and AI readability can all be factored in from the outset without design or loading times suffering as a result.

## Websites for football schools and sports clubs with SEO & AI visibility

What does a good website for a football school or sports club need to deliver?

It has to convince parents of its professionalism and quality within a short space of time, clearly separate different age groups and programmes, and make registration as simple as possible. That includes fast loading times, an accessible implementation and a structure that both search engines and, increasingly, AI systems can interpret correctly.

Why is direct online booking worthwhile for holiday camps?

Because popular camps sell out quickly. Anyone who first has to submit an enquiry by email risks losing time and, with it, their place. A booking option showing the date, price and availability directly on the website lowers the barrier and speeds up registration for both sides.

How important are real people such as coaches or patrons for the website?

Very important. Parents would rather entrust their child to a coaching team whose experience and achievements they can verify than to an anonymous offering. Dedicated sub-pages with a career history, achievements and a photo create exactly this trust.

                                    What does a website's "Agent-Native" score mean?

It assesses how well a website can be read and correctly processed not only by people and traditional search engines, but also by AI agents and AI search systems. This includes, among other things, structured, cleanly marked-up content and controlled accessibility for bots. The topic is becoming ever more relevant as the use of AI search grows.

Can the Bolzakademie team maintain content such as camp dates itself?

Yes. New training dates, camp weeks and content can be updated independently via WordPress. For larger extensions, such as new programmes or features, we remain at the team’s side as an agency
