---

The management consultancy [advandas](https://advandas.de/) helps owner-managed SMEs put artificial intelligence and digitalisation to practical use in their day-to-day operations. advandas Consulting GmbH works with companies in industry, the skilled trades, IT, engineering and services. With offices in Berlin, Waren (Müritz) and Ueckermünde, it combines regional proximity with three areas of expertise: data protection and IT security, AI and process optimisation, and finance and corporate management.

Behind the company are Stefan Siewert, Katrin Berndt, Karsten Böhm and their team. They assess which solution suits a company without favouring any particular vendor, support its introduction and train employees. The website needed to introduce prospective clients to the consultants and show how advandas works within a business. To achieve this, we revised the site structure and copy and implemented the new design in WordPress.

## The challenge: making a wide-ranging consultancy easy to understand

A skilled-trades business looking for its first potential uses of AI needs different answers from a company that already has a software proposal on the table. Another team may want to automate a specific process. The website has to reflect these different starting points and provide orientation before explaining individual services.

We therefore structured the pages around prospective clients’ needs. Visitors first find an entry point that matches their situation. They then learn who will advise them and how a project works. Case studies help them assess the options, while the appointment page leads to a personal consultation.

![The previous advandas homepage and the new website with a team photo and a clear value proposition shown on two laptops](https://4eck-media.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/advandas-05-laptops-depth-before-after.avif "advandas homepage before and after the relaunch")

*The new opening section presents the people behind the consultancy and explains what advandas aims to achieve within a company.*

## The consultants take centre stage

Trust is an important factor when choosing a consultancy. That is why the three managing directors welcome visitors in the large hero image. Their profiles introduce their respective areas of expertise. Stefan Siewert contributes his experience in data protection. Katrin Berndt works as an AI trainer and INQA coach, while Karsten Böhm combines financial expertise with process optimisation. Even before the first meeting, visitors can see who is best placed to handle their needs.

The [web design](https://4eck-media.de/en/competencies/ui-ux-web-development-agency-4eck-media/) uses the brand’s red, anthracite and geometric shapes. Light text sections, dark panels for case studies and red calls to action give the long homepage a clear rhythm. Recurring cards make services, projects and people easy to grasp at a glance. On smartphones, these become well-organised sections with compact navigation.

![New advandas homepage on a laptop with a team photo, alongside the page sequence featuring entry points, services and case studies](https://4eck-media.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/advandas-single-laptop-corporate-background.avif "Web design and site structure for advandas")

*The homepage guides visitors from the value proposition through specific starting situations and case studies to the team’s way of working.*

## Three entry points instead of a long search for the right service

Below the hero image is the question: "Where are you on your AI journey?" Three cards help visitors choose. No specialist knowledge is required. Those who want to get started receive guidance. Those who want an AI proposal reviewed find an independent assessment. Those who want to implement a specific solution are guided to project support.

The next step makes the possible applications tangible: making company knowledge accessible, automating routine tasks, using chat and telephone assistants, or training employees. The service pages explain these topics in greater detail. A four-step process also shows how advandas moves from understanding and assessing a situation through evaluation and implementation to lasting use in day-to-day operations.

## Case studies show what AI consulting looks like in practice

Abstract concepts become easier to understand when they are linked to a real business. For Bäckerei Hatscher, for example, advandas describes short training videos featuring an AI avatar, supplemented by quizzes and learning checks. The aim is to share knowledge across branches and shifts. Another case study explains how a car dealership selects AI tools and introduces them together with its employees.

We created a dedicated section for these projects. There, prospective clients can see the challenge a company started with and how advandas approached it. This makes it easier to compare the case with their own situation. The knowledge section adds articles on data protection, funding, AI and processes. Topic filters make it easier to get started, while relevant links between services, knowledge and case studies guide visitors through the content.

*Orientation, contact options and practical SME applications all remain easy to access on mobile devices.*

## From initial interest to the next meaningful step

An interactive funding check addresses a common question before a project begins. By entering details such as company size, federal state and industry, visitors receive initial guidance on possible funding programmes. This creates a concrete starting point for a conversation. The initial check does not replace a binding assessment of a specific project.

A dedicated page for the initial consultation presents the contacts and their areas of expertise. Active booking buttons lead directly to their personal Microsoft Bookings calendars. Visitors can choose an available time without first exchanging several emails. The offer is clearly stated: 30 minutes, free of charge and without obligation. A location map and contact details also highlight the company’s regional presence between Berlin and the Baltic Sea.

The smaller points of contact are part of the design too. The cookie notice explains the available choices in the brand’s visual style. A custom-illustrated 404 page provides routes back to the homepage, services and contact page when a link cannot be found. This means that even an incorrect address does not lead visitors into a dead end.

*The error page remains part of the brand experience and helps visitors continue their journey.*

## Technical quality that can be verified

We built the pages in WordPress using reusable content blocks. This allows the team to add further case studies and knowledge articles within the existing design. As part of the relaunch, we also tested loading times and accessibility. The following reports show the results for the homepage.

### Mobile performance: from 68 to 95 points

In the documented mobile PageSpeed comparison, the performance score rises from 68 to 95 points. The report from 13 October 2026 also shows 100 points each for accessibility, best practices and SEO. Despite the large team photos and project images, the homepage therefore achieves a high mobile test score. For us, [performance optimisation](https://4eck-media.de/en/competencies/pagespeed-optimization-making-websites-measurably-faster/) is part of implementing the design. These are laboratory measurements; later tests may produce different results.

![Mobile PageSpeed reports for the advandas homepage before and after the relaunch, with performance scores of 68 and 95 respectively](https://4eck-media.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/advandas-04-phones-top-down-before-after.avif "Mobile PageSpeed performance for advandas")

*Documented mobile laboratory measurements from 7 and 13 October 2026: performance scores of 68 and 95 respectively.*

### Accessibility: fewer detected barriers

For the homepage tested, the separate AccessibilityChecker shows an improvement from 12 to 90 points; the number of reported critical issues falls from seven to zero. The earlier report lists issues including insufficient contrast and inconsistencies in headings and controls. These affect readability and use with assistive technologies. Automated checks provide important guidance, but they do not replace a complete manual review of [accessibility](https://4eck-media.de/en/competencies/accessibility-for-your-websites-web-design-agency/) across all pages and processes.

![AccessibilityChecker for the advandas homepage: 12 points and seven critical issues before, 90 points and no critical issues after](https://4eck-media.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/advandas-03-tablets-top-down-before-after.avif "advandas: comparison of the automated accessibility checks")

*Within the scope of the automated check: from 12 to 90 points and from seven critical issues to zero.*

### Security headers: two requirements added

The security headers comparison shows an A rating both before and after the relaunch. What changed is the configuration: Referrer-Policy and Permissions-Policy were previously missing; afterwards, all six HTTP security headers tested are in place. The two additional headers control how referrer information is shared and which browser features may be accessed. The later report still includes a note about the Content Security Policy. The image therefore documents the additional settings, not a higher overall rating or an SSL certificate.

![advandas security headers before and after, both rated A, with Referrer-Policy and Permissions-Policy added afterwards](https://4eck-media.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/advandas-02-laptops-table-before-after.avif "advandas: two additional security headers with the same A rating")

*The rating remains A. After the relaunch, Referrer-Policy and Permissions-Policy are also set, meaning that all six headers tested are present.*

## Making content accessible to search engines and AI systems

Specific service pages, clear headings and internal links between knowledge and case studies form the basis of [search engine optimisation](https://4eck-media.de/en/competencies/seo-agency-4eck-media-we-will-take-you-to-the-top/). They are complemented by suitable page titles, descriptions and structured data. The documented Schema.org test detects 23 items on the homepage, including the company, services and people, without errors or warnings. The relationships are therefore described in a machine-readable form too.

To [prepare content for AI systems](https://4eck-media.de/en/competencies/llm-geo-ai-optimization/), the website also provides a Markdown version of its content. Cloudflare’s documented "Is Your Site Agent-Ready?" test could not assess the previous website because it returned a 403 response. After the relaunch, the partial scan produces 86 points and the "Agent-Native" rating. Seven of twenty checks were enabled. This demonstrates accessibility within the scope tested, but not that AI assistants recommend the company more frequently.

![Cloudflare test for advandas: previously blocked with a 403 response, then 86 points in the partial scan with seven of twenty checks](https://4eck-media.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/advandas-01-tablets-stands-before-after.avif "Technical accessibility for AI agents at advandas")

*Cloudflare Agent Readiness: no usable scan before the relaunch; 86 points afterwards with seven checks enabled.*

## The team photo also appears when the link is shared

A website link can quickly end up in a message to colleagues or business partners. That is why we also designed the Open Graph preview: the team photo and a short statement about the benefits of the consultancy communicate what the website is about as soon as the link is shared. Recipients see the contacts even before visiting the website.

*The new preview image connects the people behind advandas with the consultancy’s offering.*
