An apartment by the lake, one in the middle of the city and one for business trips: anyone looking for accommodation in Carinthia should be able to feel online how pleasant their stay will be. At [Apart of me](https://apart-of-me.at/), stylish apartments, great locations and personal hosts were already in place. With our website relaunch, this quality now comes across online too: with one consistent design for four websites, clear apartment categories and short paths to direct booking.

We also gave the technology a thorough overhaul. In the Seobility audit, the portal’s on-page score rises from 36 to 96 per cent. In the mobile PageSpeed test, all four websites reach between 91 and 94 points, and all six security headers tested are in place everywhere. The before-and-after images show how much has changed in design, usability and technical quality.

## Three locations get one shared digital presence

Apart of me rents out stylishly furnished apartments at three locations in Carinthia. In Villach, business, deluxe and superior apartments are available, right up to a penthouse with a roof terrace. On Lake Faak in Egg, there are five apartment categories and a lake house, right on the water with a private beach. In Klagenfurt on Lake Wörthersee, four categories between 28 and 60 square metres are centrally located in the city. Guests combine hotel comfort with the independence of their own apartment, whether on holiday, on a business trip or for a longer stay.

The previous homepage, with “The business part of me”, mainly addressed business travellers and barely showed that there are three locations with very different strengths. The new website answers this right in the headline: “Apartments for your holiday in Carinthia”, followed by the paths to Villach, Lake Faak and Klagenfurt. For us, that was exactly the starting point of the relaunch: making existing strengths visible and presenting the offers clearly.

## A web design that looks like Carinthia and home

A distinctive typewriter font, handwritten accents in the style of the logo and plenty of calm white space define the new design. Large images show what guests can expect: Lake Faak with its sunbathing lawn and jetty, bright living spaces with balconies and apartments furnished like a good hotel. That suits an offer where every part of the guest should feel at home, the part in need of rest as well as the busy one.

The orange buttons have a clear job: “Book online” sits in the header of every page, and the “Enquire & Book” bar with arrival, departure and number of guests follows directly below the intro. On tablets and smartphones, images, text and controls adapt to the narrower view.

## From the first impression to the right apartment

Someone who wants to spend a week at the lake with their family is looking for different information than someone in Klagenfurt for two nights on business. That is why the apart-of-me.at portal leads to three separate websites, one for each location. There, the apartment categories are presented with size, number of guests and amenities, from the compact business apartment to the Type A Superior with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a lake view.

We built all four websites as a [WordPress multisite](https://4eck-media.de/en/competencies/wordpress-multisite-manage-multiple-websites-through-a-single-system/). Each has its own domain, while all share design and administration. The benefits of booking direct are also explained prominently: personal contact with the host, fair rates without commission and quick replies. The websites are available in [multiple languages](https://4eck-media.de/en/competencies/build-a-multilingual-website-more-reach-more-customers/), German, English and Italian, ideal for guests from the Alps-Adriatic region.

## More speed: 91 to 94 points in the PageSpeed test

Large holiday images should appear quickly. Especially on the go, nobody wants to wait long to view an apartment or check availability. That is why [page speed optimisation](https://4eck-media.de/en/competencies/pagespeed-optimization-making-websites-measurably-faster/) was an integral part of the relaunch, for all four websites. In the mobile PageSpeed test, apart-of-me.at reaches 92 points, apartments-villach.at 93, apartments-faakersee.at 91 and apartments-klagenfurt.at 94 performance points.

Accessibility and SEO are at 100 points each on all four websites, best practices at 100, or 96 points for Lake Faak. Agentic browsing also reaches three out of three checks everywhere. These are results of a simulated mobile page load with a throttled connection. They document the technical status under the respective test conditions.

## A clean foundation: on-page score from 36 to 96 per cent

For [search engine optimisation (SEO)](https://4eck-media.de/en/competencies/seo-agency-4eck-media-we-will-take-you-to-the-top/), a clean technical foundation is essential. The Seobility audit makes the difference clear: in the crawl of 23 September 2026, apart-of-me.at reached an on-page score of 36 per cent. After the relaunch, the crawl of 2 October 2026 shows 96 per cent.

In detail, technology and meta improves from 0 to 88 per cent, structure from 45 to 100 and content from 63 to 100 per cent. The redirect to https previously reported problems and is now fine, and the average response time drops from 2.17 to 0.42 seconds. Separate pages for each location and apartment category cover specific searches, from the business apartment in Villach to the lake-view apartment on Lake Faak.

## Fewer barriers: accessScan with 90 points

Good readability and intuitive usability belong on every good website, in our view. The automated accessScan by accessiBe rates the new apart-of-me.at homepage at 90 out of 100 points with the result “Compliant”. No critical issues are reported within the scope tested, and 52 checks are passed.

At the same time, the report lists 22 items that can only be checked manually. Automated tests therefore do not cover all criteria. ## Technical protection: security headers for all four websites

Security headers are small instructions to the browser that protect a website against typical attacks. In the report of 16 October 2026, all six headers tested are in place for apart-of-me.at, apartments-villach.at, apartments-klagenfurt.at and apartments-faakersee.at: Content-Security-Policy, X-Content-Type-Options, Permissions-Policy, Referrer-Policy, Strict-Transport-Security and X-Frame-Options.

The rating is A. The report still lists notes that cap it at A. We therefore state the result exactly as documented: A for the tested configuration.

## GEO: content that AI systems understand too

More and more guests get accommodation recommendations from ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google’s AI Overviews. That is why we considered [optimisation for AI systems](https://4eck-media.de/en/competencies/llm-geo-ai-optimization/) from the start. Clear page structures, unambiguous information about locations and apartments and the three language versions help AI systems classify the offers correctly. Agentic browsing reaches three out of three checks in the PageSpeed test on all four websites.

How often AI assistants actually recommend Apart of me, and which bookings result from it, can only be assessed based on real-world use.

## The link preview also makes you want to visit Carinthia

Holiday plans are often made together: someone discovers a lovely apartment and passes on the link. That is why we also designed the Open Graph preview. The image shows Lake Faak with its sunbathing lawn, the Apart of me logo and the message “Book your apartment in Carinthia.” The title “Apartments für Ihren Urlaub in Kärnten | Apart of me” is within the recommended range at 52 characters.
