---

An industrial plant is not insulated by gut instinct. Temperatures, dew point, materials, hygiene, fire protection, and maintenance must fit together. A website for such a company therefore must not consist merely of a few attractive images and the line “We are your competent partner.”

It must quickly demonstrate what the company can do, which facilities it works on, and why it can be trusted with a demanding project.

![New IVS website on tablet and smartphone in front of an industrial plant](https://4eck-media.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/ivs-website-responsive-tablet-smartphone-production-domain.avif)

*Dark surfaces, a real industrial setting, and the brand’s turquoise shape the new presence.*

Michael leads the [Isolierung & Verschäumung Reinhard Swienty GmbH](https://ivs-isolierung.de/) in the second generation. His father, Reinhard, founded the company in Malchin in 1984 as a one-person business. High-pressure PUR foaming has been a specialist area since 1990. Today, more than 20 people work in two production halls, with CNC sheet-metal processing, in-house prefabrication, and a separate hall for stainless-steel moulded parts made of V2A and V4A.

IVS works throughout Germany as well as in Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Austria. More than 4,000 projects, over 40 years of experience, and 5.0 stars from eleven Google reviews are not decoration for a homepage. They show that this is an exceptionally capable industrial company. We are proud to have repositioned this business digitally.

## The previous presence was not bad. It was simply far too small for the company behind it

The previous website had done its job. It explained that IVS exists, named its services, and offered ways to get in touch. The problem was not a single wrong colour or an outdated button. The entire presence only hinted at the company’s scale, specialisation, and technical depth.

On the homepage, a traditional slider, a general message, and several navigation levels competed for attention. Anyone looking for cold insulation for a food-processing business had to work out for themselves whether IVS had the right experience, materials, and capacity for ongoing operations. On a smartphone, that search became even more demanding.

The gap between the company and its website was also clear technically. The former mobile PageSpeed score was 36 out of 100. The automated accessibility check reached 10 out of 100 points and reported seven critical issues. The Security Headers test gave it an F. Several important protective mechanisms were missing. The website could be found, but it was not properly prepared for modern search systems or AI agents.

That is no reason to disparage the earlier solution. Websites age. Requirements change. A digital business card eventually becomes a sales, recruiting, and information system. That is exactly where the relaunch began.

Our [web design agency](https://4eck-media.de/en/competencies/ui-ux-web-development-agency-4eck-media/) plans such presences from the information concept through to high-performance implementation.

![Comparison of IVS Insulation’s old and new web presence across several devices](https://4eck-media.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/ivs-website-vorher-nachher.avif)

*The company’s substance remained. Design, orientation, and mobile use were rebuilt.*

## Before and after in numbers

The visible change is substantial. The measurable change is even clearer.

| Test | Before | After the relaunch |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Mobile PageSpeed performance | 36/100 | 92/100 |
| PageSpeed accessibility | 83/100 | 100/100 |
| PageSpeed best practices | 69/100 | 100/100 |
| PageSpeed SEO | 92/100 | 100/100 |
| Agentic browsing | 1/2 | 3/3 |
| Security Headers | F | A+ |
| Automated WCAG check | 10/100, 7 critical issues | 90/100, 0 critical issues |

The new Seobility audit rates on-page quality at 96 percent. Structure reaches 100 percent, technical quality and meta data 97 percent, and content 92 percent. Thirty-nine pages were crawled, 36 of which are indexable. In the Agent-Native Scan, the website achieves 86 points and Level 5. Content and Bot Access Control each score 100 points.

The measurements cover the period from July 31 to August 4, 2026. Such audits are snapshots, not permanent seals of guarantee. They nevertheless make the difference between a claim and a verifiable result very clear.

## A design that looks industrial without looking like an industrial catalogue

Industrial websites quickly end up visually in one of two dead ends. Either they look like a brochure from 2008, or they receive a generic glossy look that would work just as well for software, logistics, or a consultancy.

For IVS, we wanted something distinctive. Dark surfaces give the large plant photographs room to breathe. Stainless steel, piping, and production halls provide the texture. The bold turquoise from the brand guides users through navigation, buttons, and key figures. Large typography sets clear priorities. The presence feels technical, precise, and premium, yet remains close to people and real work.

The [UI and UX concept](https://4eck-media.de/en/competencies/ui-ux-web-development-agency-4eck-media/) therefore does not start with effects. It starts with questions: What does a plant engineer need to understand first? What proof does a food producer look for? Where does an applicant find open positions? How quickly can someone with a specific enquiry reach Michael Swienty?

The icons were not simply picked from an interchangeable library either. The beverage industry, dairy processing, food production, modular construction, frozen-food logistics, biogas, and other application areas have each received their own visual language. This helps users scan the page and turns eight industries into more than eight text links in a menu.

![Custom industry icons for beverages, dairy, food, modular construction, frozen-food logistics, and biogas](https://4eck-media.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/ivs-branchen-icons-industrielle-isolierung.avif)

*The industries receive their own visual language that can be grasped quickly.*

## Six services, eight industries, and far less guesswork

The new information architecture separates two questions that prospective customers almost always bring with them.

First: Which technical service do I need? Six dedicated pages cover cold insulation, thermal insulation, fire protection insulation, sound insulation, project planning, and PUR foaming.

Second: Does this company know my industry? Eight additional pages answer that for plant engineering, the beverage industry and breweries, dairy processing, food processors, fuel systems in modular construction, logistics and frozen-food centres, biogas plants, and the chemical industry.

That makes 14 specialist pages, but not 14 copies of the same advertising message. A page on cold insulation explains condensation, vapour barriers, insulation thicknesses, CUI protection, and suitable materials. The industry page for food processors covers HACCP, V2A and V4A, ongoing production, cleaning processes, ovens, deep fryers, and audit documentation. Services and industries link to one another, allowing visitors to read along the path of their own question.

![Seobility audit of the IVS website with 96 percent on-page quality and 100 percent structure](https://4eck-media.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/ivs-seobility-onpage-96.avif)

*96 percent on-page quality, 100 percent structure, and 97 percent for technical quality and meta data.*

This separation also improves the [on-page SEO structure](https://4eck-media.de/en/competencies/onpage-seo-optimization-website-analysis-search-engine-optimization-4eck-media/). Google does not have to guess from a single overloaded page whether IVS is relevant for “cold insulation brewery,” “fire protection deep fryer,” or “PUR foaming vessel.” Each search intent receives a comprehensible destination page, its own headings, images, FAQs, and internal links.

For IVS, this has a second benefit: enquiries become more specific. Anyone who has already read how measuring, prefabrication, and installation work during ongoing operations no longer asks only, “Do you do insulation?” They can name their medium, temperature range, plant, and timeframe. The website thus takes on part of the pre-qualification without replacing personal contact.

## Projects and real work instead of claims

An industrial company does not gain trust through adjectives. It gains trust through cleanly documented work.

That is why the website presents references such as Sweet Tec, the Apenrade biogas plant, CHEFS CULINAR, and GenSys in Wismar. The projects do not merely name customers. They explain the task, technical solution, conditions, and result. Original photographs from machine rooms, vessels, pipe runs, and stainless-steel cladding show that IVS genuinely knows these facilities.

The homepage combines this evidence with an understandable process: enquiry, analysis and consultation, planning, implementation, acceptance, and handover. It also includes customer testimonials, contacts, location, service area, and open positions. The result is not a long monologue of self-promotion but a path through a client’s questions.

## Industrial websites that deliver results

Further practical examples demonstrate how clear content, distinctive design, and robust technology make complex services visible and encourage qualified enquiries.

## Rethought for smartphone, tablet, notebook, and desktop

Responsive design does not mean making a desktop page narrower. On a smartphone, the perspective, space, and usage situation change. A site manager on a construction site wants to call quickly. A planner at a notebook compares services. Management reviews references on a large screen. Applicants often open job listings directly on their phones.

We designed navigation, text widths, image crops, cards, contact routes, industry grids, and calls to action for these situations. On small displays, the key messages and contact options appear early in view. Tablets show the visual world generously without unwieldy lines of text. On notebooks and desktops, the layout uses the additional space instead of merely pulling content apart.

![Responsive IVS website with careers, services, and contact on three smartphones](https://4eck-media.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/ivs-website-mobile-karriere-leistungen.avif)

*Content and contact routes were reprioritised for mobile use.*

The result is the same website across all four device groups, but not the same arrangement. That is exactly what makes a good responsive presence.

## 92 mobile points do not come from a single plugin

Performance results from many small decisions. The custom WordPress theme loads only the components a page needs. Images are delivered in modern formats such as AVIF and WebP, scaled appropriately, and loaded with a delay outside the visible area. Typography, scripts, and animations were used so that they support the presence rather than block it.

Our [PageSpeed optimisation](https://4eck-media.de/en/competencies/pagespeed-optimization-making-websites-measurably-faster/) raised the mobile score from 36 to 92 points. Even more important is the effect behind it: content appears faster, mobile visitors wait less, and search engines receive a stronger technical signal. A fast website does not feel like technology. It simply feels natural.

Our [SEO agency](https://4eck-media.de/en/competencies/seo-agency-4eck-media-we-will-take-you-to-the-top/) considers technology, search intent, and content as an interconnected system.

![Mobile IVS website PageSpeed before and after the relaunch with 36 and 92 points](https://4eck-media.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/ivs-pagespeed-mobile-vorher-nachher.avif)

*Mobile performance rose from 36 to 92 points in the test; accessibility, best practices, and SEO each reach 100.*

A bespoke [WordPress solution](https://4eck-media.de/en/competencies/wordpress-agency-websites-that-work-for-your-business/) works in the background. The homepage consists of twelve coordinated content modules. Services, industries, projects, jobs, customer testimonials, and FAQs can be maintained in a structured way. For a new reference, the team needs neither to rebuild the layout nor touch source code. The design system and editorial work remain separate so the website can grow without falling apart with every addition.

## From F to A+: security that can be demonstrated

The old test reported an F rating. Among other things, HSTS, Content-Security-Policy, X-Frame-Options, X-Content-Type-Options, Referrer-Policy, and Permissions-Policy were missing.

In the new presence, all six layers of protection are active. The current Security Headers report for ivs-isolierung.de awards A+. HSTS enforces encrypted connections. X-Frame-Options makes malicious embedding of the website more difficult. X-Content-Type-Options prevents risky guessing of file types. Content-Security-Policy, Referrer-Policy, and Permissions-Policy limit which sources, data, and browser functions a page may use.

![Security Headers audit of the IVS website before and after the relaunch with ratings F and A+](https://4eck-media.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/ivs-security-headers-vorher-nachher.avif)

*Before the relaunch: F. After the relaunch: A+ with six active security headers.*

No header replaces updates, backups, or ongoing maintenance. The A+ rating does show, however, that the publicly verifiable baseline layer is now where it should be for a professional corporate website.

## Accessibility: from an audit problem to documented implementation

![Accessibility audit of the IVS website before and after the relaunch with 10 and 90 points](https://4eck-media.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/ivs-barrierefreiheit-audit-vorher-nachher.avif)

*From 10 to 90 points and from seven critical issues to none: the automated check before and after the relaunch.*

The former automated WCAG test showed 10 out of 100 points and seven critical issues. These included contrast, heading structure, alternative image text, and ambiguous elements. These are not academic details. They help determine whether people with visual, motor, or perceptual impairments can use content and navigation.

In the relaunch, we implemented semantic HTML, comprehensible headings, keyboard operation, alternative texts, sufficient contrast, relative sizes, and appropriate ARIA attributes. The new automated audit achieves 90 out of 100 points and zero critical issues. A further test certificate assigns the status “Accessible.” Google Lighthouse awards 100 points in the accessibility category.

In addition, IVS has a publicly available accessibility statement in accordance with WCAG 2.1 AA. The test was documented using two tools and a manual screen-reader test in Chrome. Our work as an [agency for accessible websites](https://4eck-media.de/en/competencies/accessibility-for-your-websites-web-design-agency/) does not end with a green circle in a testing tool. It should ensure that real people can operate the site.

![accessScan comparison of the IVS website before and after the relaunch: Website needs attention and Accessible](https://4eck-media.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/ivs-accessscan-vorher-nachher.avif)

*Before the relaunch, accessScan reported that the website needed attention. Afterwards, the new IVS website is rated “Accessible.”*

## SEO for search engines, data for AI systems

Traditional SEO remains the foundation. The website has clear titles and descriptions, canonicals, indexable URLs, a sitemap, descriptive image text, and structured data for the organisation, local business, professional service, webpages, and breadcrumbs. Its technical SEO and meta score is 97 percent, and the page structure reaches 100 percent.

For modern answer systems, another layer is added. Under `llms.txt`, IVS provides a machine-readable directory of its services, industries, projects, posts, and jobs. Individual content can be accessed as clean Markdown. An API catalogue, an agent-skills index, a server map, and a read-only MCP interface help software agents find publicly available information in a structured way.

This sounds more technical than it is for users. At its core, it is about clarity. A person reads: IVS has worked in industrial insulation since 1984, offers six services, and knows eight core industries. An AI system should be able to recognise the same facts, with sources rather than assumptions.

The Agent-Native Scan confirms this preparation with 86 points and Level 5. Content and bot access each reach 100 points. Our [optimisation for AI search and LLMs](https://4eck-media.de/en/competencies/llm-geo-ai-optimization/) therefore increases the technical chance of being understood and cited correctly. It does not promise an automatic recommendation by ChatGPT or Perplexity. Such a guarantee would be unserious.

![AI readiness of the IVS website before and after the relaunch with Level 1 and Level 5](https://4eck-media.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/ivs-ki-sichtbarkeit-agent-native-vorher-nachher.avif)

*From 57 points and Level 1 to 86 points and Level 5: IVS was prepared for AI systems in a structured and comprehensible way.*

## What other industrial companies can take away from this project

A good industrial website does not have to be loud. It has to be precise.

1. Show real facilities, real work, and real contacts. Interchangeable stock photography weakens technical competence.
2. Separate services and industries. A buyer searches differently from a planner, but both need a clear path to the right solution.
3. Explain materials, standards, and processes so specifically that professionals recognise substance while new customers can still follow.
4. Demonstrate quality with projects and metrics. A PageSpeed screenshot, a security audit, and a documented accessibility test say more than five superlatives.
5. Think about applicants. A careers page alone does not solve the skills shortage, but a poor mobile job listing loses good people unnecessarily early.
6. Prepare content for search engines and AI. Clear pages, structured data, and machine-readable sources help both.

IVS provides a good example of this. The new presence does not make the company larger, faster, or more experienced. It already was. The website finally ensures that people can see it too.

![Service area of IVS Insulation in Germany and several neighbouring European countries](https://4eck-media.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/ivs-einsatzgebiet-deutschland-europa.avif)

*From Malchin, IVS works throughout Germany as well as in Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Austria.*

## Frequently asked questions about websites for industrial companies

How many subpages does an industrial website need?

That does not depend on a target number, but on services, target groups, and search queries. For IVS, six service pages and eight industry pages made sense. Other businesses need fewer or more. Each page should fulfil its own purpose and contain enough professional substance.

Yes, if the theme, permissions, plugins, updates, and security concept are implemented professionally. A custom theme provides control over speed and design. A modular structure allows the team to maintain projects, jobs, and content itself.

What does a mobile PageSpeed score of 92 points mean?

The score shows that the tested page loads quickly and cleanly from a technical perspective under the test conditions. It is not a promise for every device and connection. For IVS, the jump from 36 to 92 is nevertheless clear proof of optimisation.

What does the A+ security rating indicate?

Security Headers evaluates publicly visible HTTP security headers. A+ means the tested headers are set very well. The rating complements updates, backups, monitoring, and secure access, but does not replace them.

                                    When is a website accessible?

An automated test alone is not enough. Good implementation combines WCAG criteria, semantic structure, keyboard operation, contrast, alternative texts, and manual checks. IVS documents the test publicly in its accessibility statement.

It makes services, facts, and responsibilities easier for answer engines to read. Structured data, llms.txt, Markdown content, and clearly structured specialist pages reduce misunderstandings. Whether a system actually mentions the website also depends on relevance, authority, and the specific query.

Why are dedicated pages for industries worthwhile?

Because a brewery has different concerns from a chemical company or plant engineering business. Dedicated industry pages can explain hygiene, materials, temperatures, standards, and operational processes appropriately. This improves orientation, search relevance, and the quality of incoming enquiries.
