# Website relaunch for Müritzer Saunafass: a wellness break that begins online

Since 2016, Müritzer Saunafass has been manufacturing and hiring out saunas and hot tubs for time out in the garden, on holiday or during a weekend with friends and family. The company, based in Grabenitz near Waren (Müritz), is run by Eric Böhnke. He provides personal advice, presents the models in his showroom and implements individual requests. The range includes classic barrel saunas, clean-lined sauna cubes, hot tubs and separate warm and cold baths. Customers can also hire mobile barrel saunas and hot tubs from [Müritzer Saunafass](https://xn--mritzer-saunafass-mieten-vsc.de/).

This variety is what defines the company: a small garden sauna has different requirements from a large cube with panoramic glazing. Anyone looking for a mobile barrel sauna for a weekend, in turn, needs prices and information about collection or delivery. Our brief was a complete website relaunch that organises these offers clearly and makes the craftsmanship of the products visible.

## Web design that does justice to the craftsmanship

Wood, warmth, water and nature shape the on-site experience. We developed the design from these elements: warm brown and beige tones, generous image areas, a characterful serif typeface and calm spacing. Orange buttons stand out without taking attention away from the products. Instead of interchangeable wellness imagery, we show authentic photographs of the manufacturer’s saunas, hot tubs and equipment details.

We prepared the images for their respective uses and converted them into suitable modern web formats. A smartphone needs a different image size from a large screen. High image quality and fast load times must work together. Especially for a range whose appeal lies in its materials, workmanship and atmosphere, image optimisation must preserve the character of the photographs.

For us, the new site is one of the most beautiful sauna websites in Germany. That is our personal assessment as designers. We are particularly pleased that the manufacturer can present its products here as it builds them: with care and genuine enjoyment of the craft. We share this attitude. That is why this project contains as much work on the design as on the details of the implementation.

## Many products, two clear paths

Right at the start, visitors choose between buying and hiring. Behind these options are dedicated product pages on which the models can be compared. Barrel saunas are available in different lengths, with an anteroom or terrace. Sauna cubes offer a clean-lined alternative, optionally with extensive glazing or as a combination with a terrace and hot tub. For hot tubs, information about capacity, the stove and additional equipment helps customers find the right version.

The differences between a hot tub, hot bath and cold bath are also explained. The warm bath and cold plunge pool are separate products. Dimensions, versions and equipment appear where the decision is made. Anyone interested in a model can send a targeted enquiry. Telephone and WhatsApp are also easy to reach. The process from the first consultation through quotation and production to delivery or collection provides guidance before a major purchase.

Hiring raises different questions: how many people fit inside, what does it cost and how does the sauna reach the venue? The pages for the mobile barrel sauna and mobile hot tub answer these questions. The regional hire offers cover Waren (Müritz), Demmin, Greifswald and Rechlin. A visit to the showroom in Grabenitz is possible by appointment. Six regional pages supplement the product information with content relevant to each area.

## Google and AI search: describing offers unambiguously

People searching for a sauna often already have a specific requirement: hire a barrel sauna, buy a cube for the garden or find a wood-fired hot tub. Our [search engine optimisation](https://4eck-media.de/en/competencies/seo-agency-4eck-media-we-will-take-you-to-the-top/) starts with these questions. Dedicated product pages, regional content, suitable page titles, descriptions and internal links give every offer a clear place.

We also prepared the website for analysis by AI systems. This [AI optimisation, also known as GEO or LLM SEO](https://4eck-media.de/en/competencies/llm-geo-ai-optimization/), relies on clearly attributable information: who is the provider, which products are available, where is the business based and how do buying and hiring differ? Schema markup describes the company, its address, contact options and areas served in machine-readable form. Additional Markdown versions make the content easier to access.

This creates a foundation that enables search engines and AI assistants to classify Müritzer Saunafass factually for relevant queries. Whether a particular AI system actually recommends the provider is decided by that system. The technical preparation alone cannot guarantee a recommendation or a particular position.

## Fast loading, even with many authentic photographs

An image-rich website needs careful [performance optimisation](https://4eck-media.de/en/competencies/pagespeed-optimization-making-websites-measurably-faster/). Alongside the image files, we optimised technical delivery for fast load times. In the documented mobile PageSpeed comparison, performance rises from 60 to 97 points. The new report also shows 100 points in each of the Accessibility, Best Practices and SEO categories. The scores come from the test shown; they do not represent every subpage or every connection.

## Security and accessibility checked as well

Our implementation also covers settings that visitors do not see directly. Before the relaunch, all six HTTP security headers tested were missing in the Security Headers test. After the revision, all six are in place and the rating rises from F to A. These headers give the browser rules for handling content and connections. The result documents the settings tested; it is not a comprehensive security certification.

We also improved digital accessibility. The separate AccessibilityChecker.org test rises from 10 to 90 points, while the critical issues reported on the page tested fall from seven to zero. These include specific topics such as contrast and technical structure. An automated report checks only part of accessibility and is not proof of full accessibility.

## A strong online presence does not end on the homepage

When a customer shares a link on WhatsApp or a social network, the preview should already match the offer. We therefore coordinated the Open Graph image, title and description. The documented check reports no errors and no warnings after the relaunch. The preview now displays a designed sauna image instead of a missing picture.

Even an invalid link remains part of the design. On the specially illustrated 404 page, the sauna has already moved on. From there, visitors can return to the offer. The motif suits the company and turns an error message into a small, friendly moment.
