The application is available in German, English, and Ukrainian and is optimized for smartphone use. The school office receives an instant email notification with every submission, and parents simultaneously receive a confirmation email. The solution is available at Abmeldung-Neustrelitz.de. ### Multilingual, mobile and seven institutions in one: how the application works Parents first select the relevant institution and then fill in a short form. The central website brings together five schools and two nurseries on one platform, which is particularly practical when several children are ill at the same time. The application is available in German, English and Ukrainian, which makes it considerably easier for parents with a migration background to use and avoids communication problems on the phone. For certain nurseries and primary schools, the cancellation of lunch is already preset so that this cancellation is not forgotten either. As statistically most sick notes are submitted via smartphone, the website has been consistently optimised for mobile. ### Scheduled collective list feature: a real gain for the administration A central element of the application is the collective list feature: every day at a set time, each school and nursery receives a complete overview of all sick notes received as a PDF or CSV file. This replaces listening to answering machines every day and manually managing individual emails. The experience of Gymnasium Carolinum, which has been using online sick notes since 2017 and has received more than 32,000 notifications, was an important foundation here. If required, the solution can be rolled out to further languages and further institutions, which also makes it interesting for other towns and municipalities. ### At a glance - Concept and development of an online sick-note system - WordPress development based on an existing concept - Multilingualism: German, English and Ukrainian - Connection of five schools and two nurseries - Scheduled collective list feature as PDF and CSV - Automatic email notification for school office and parents - Preset lunch cancellation for nurseries and primary schools - Mobile optimisation for smartphone use - On-page optimisation with schema markup ![Schritt 1 der Online-Krankmeldung Neustrelitz – Auswahl der Schule oder Kita mit Standortkarte](https://4eck-media.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/einrichtung-waehlen-schulen-kitas-neustrelitz.avif "Einrichtung wählen – Online-Krankmeldung für Schulen und Kitas in Neustrelitz") ![Dreisprachige Online-Krankmeldung – Formular auf Deutsch, Englisch und Ukrainisch](https://4eck-media.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/mehrsprachige-krankmeldung-deutsch-englisch-ukrainisch.avif "Mehrsprachige Krankmeldung Neustrelitz – verfügbar in Deutsch, Englisch und Ukrainisch") ![Online-Krankmeldung auf Tablet und Smartphone – ausgefülltes Formular mit Fehlzeit und Nachricht](https://4eck-media.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/online-krankmeldung-formular-tablet-smartphone.avif "Online-Krankmeldung Neustrelitz – responsive Ansicht auf Tablet und Smartphone") ![Website Abwesenheit melden der Residenzstadt Neustrelitz – responsive Ansicht mit Schul-Formular](https://4eck-media.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/abwesenheit-melden-website-neustrelitz-responsive.avif "Abwesenheit melden – WordPress-Website der Residenzstadt Neustrelitz für Schulen und Kitas") ![Tägliche Sammelliste aller Krankmeldungen mit Schülerdaten, Klasse, Fehlzeit und Grund](https://4eck-media.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/sammelliste-krankmeldungen-uebersicht-sekretariat.avif "Sammellisten-Feature – tägliche Übersicht aller Krankmeldungen für das Sekretariat") ![Royal City of Neustrelitz](https://4eck-media.de/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/logo-neustrelitz-1140x1140.avif "Residence City of Neustrelitz") Tobias Menke Residenzstadt Neustrelitz We would like to thank 4eck Media GmbH & Co.
