## The brief

                        

WMH Herion from Wolnzach combines a range of more than 12,000 catalogue and stock items with customer-specific development, assemblies and system solutions for over 40 industries. The previous website contained a great deal of valuable product knowledge, but could not convey quickly enough the size of the range and the difference between standard goods, adapted versions and special solutions. We reorganised around 280 content items, further developed the design and the WordPress system, and built the presence consistently in two languages for customers, sales, international partners and applicants.

                    
                
            
        
    

    
        
            
                                    

### 12,000 items, more than 40 industries and a clear digital architecture

Products, services, industries, downloads and editorial content now each follow their own clear structure. Around 280 content items are spread across nine content types. Visitors can enter via product families, standard items available immediately, customer-specific assemblies or their industry, and from there go straight to advice and enquiry. The dark, precise design gives real components room to shine, a specially developed icon set makes key areas of application instantly recognisable, and the responsive design works everywhere from the smartphone on the production floor to the large desktop in purchasing.

### German and English with a custom WPML solution

For the English version, not only the visible texts but also custom post types, ACF fields, downloads, SEO data, URL paths and hreflang links all had to fit together perfectly. To achieve this, we developed our own WPML AI Translator for controlled XLIFF exports and imports. This allowed around 280 content items to be translated within a single working day and then systematically reviewed. At the same time, mobile PageSpeed rose from 71 to 93 points and Seobility on-page quality from 61 to 91 per cent; Lighthouse awards 100 points for accessibility, Security Headers an A+ rating and the Agent-Native test 86 points at level 5.
