With the website for the Kugelhaus vacation homes at Lake Tollense, the sixth destination in K&K Ferienimmobilien’s WordPress MultiSite system goes live – modern, high-performing, and seamlessly integrated into the digital brand world of the Mecklenburg Lake District. The project is a tribute to the distinctive architecture of the vacation homes themselves. The round shape is subtly reflected in layouts, spacing, and the soft color palette. Sandy tones, natural wood, and water blue create an atmosphere that instantly evokes a sense of vacation. The site guides guests through all the content in a structured way and shows what a vacation at Lake Tollense is all about – including 3D tours, location plans, filter functions, and complete information about the region.<\/p>

Smartly Integrated into K&K’s MultiSite System<\/h2>

Like all new tourism projects from K&K, this website is also based on 4eck Media’s WordPress MultiSite system. This allows all locations to be managed centrally in a single WordPress backend and expanded efficiently.
The Kugelhaus at Lake Tollense now joins the existing destinations for Zwei Wasser in Wustrow, Urlaub in Malchow, Hafenresidenz Waren, vacation apartments in Krakow, and the Aparthotel in Zingst. The system grows with every new site while remaining lean and easy to administer.<\/p>

Performance, Security, and Accessibility at the Highest Level<\/h2>

Alongside the design, a particular focus was placed on technical quality. The website achieves high PageSpeed scores, meets WCAG 2.1 accessibility requirements, and earns an A+ rating on SecurityHeaders. The on-page quality was also optimized using Seobility’s SEO tool. Added to this is a resource-efficient architecture with modern image formats, optimized CSS, and clearly structured HTML. The result is a site that feels fast, runs very reliably, and can be used without issue even on older devices.<\/p>

Here are the results of the accessibility test. The only issue automatically detected is insufficient color contrast. Instead of using an accessibility plugin with all its drawbacks for PageSpeed, a contrast switcher was integrated into the menu – allowing the contrast to be increased with a single click.<\/p>
