From forest to table - from online to the kitchen

As a rule, supermarkets rarely have game meat in their assortment, and when they do, it's mostly from farms or animals from abroad. Dr. Hannes Lenz and his team wanted to counter this with an online store for high-quality game meat from domestic forests. The offer was intended to give game meat lovers the opportunity to order game meat directly from the game dealer at any time. Thought. Done. The project resulted in a new, modern online store, including a recipe blog, newsletter marketing and a connection to a delivery service. So the name of the website now says it all: "From forest to table" means: simply buy game meat online and have it delivered directly to your home kitchen.

For the customer, the task was to design an online store that tastily packages the topic of game meat in the user interface and guides the target customers unerringly to the purchase through the content in the user experience. Technically, the online store was implemented with PrestaShop, for which many PrestaShop modules had to be developed in-house due to the very individual design.

The online store was developed on the basis of the store software PrestaShop. The design and visual language picks up on the themes of forest, nature, game and sustainability. User interface and user experience skilfully aim for user-friendliness. Deer? Deer? Wild boar? The products sought can be found quickly using filters and a search function and then ordered conveniently. Customers can also specify a desired delivery date. The 24-hour express delivery is well cooled and well insulated via DHL.

Online store development & content marketing

The conception and development of the website as well as the connection to the delivery service were the focus of our work. In addition, we comprehensively accompanied the project with aspects of content marketing. Thus, the pages were optimized for search engines, a system for newsletter distribution was set up and a blog with venison recipes was prepared. Special attention was also paid to the origin of the game from local forests. Through our partner agency, Vierecken Medienproduktion in Kiel, we also had an image video created (see below). We think: a successful complete package!
