The team at 4eck is friendly, very professional and takes time to understand my needs. They also showed me different options on how best to build my website. Thank you very much for the great work.
Once upon a time, Kurt Wiedemann, typographer and designer, said, "A logo is good when you can scratch it in the sand with your big toe." True. Let's take a look at how our logos have fared over the years. Here are a few client projects once presented, where we were also and especially allowed to develop the corporate identity.
The combination of regionality and theme: MV Kredit
We enjoy constructive cooperation with clients from our beautiful Müritz region. Just like with Axel Krafzik. MV-Kredit was founded in 2016 by Axel Krafzik with the goal of providing borrowers and interested parties in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and nationwide with competent and effective advice on choosing the best financing option to make wishes more tangible. Axel Krafzik commissioned us with the conception of a modern corporate design that reflects the values of seriousness, security and regionality. The result is the following visual design:
What is particularly successful in this logo is that the M and V are symbolically recognizable and with the V raised to the right, a certain positive check or tick effect was also achieved. In the second step, we rolled out the corporate design to the various media products such as business cards, stationery, flyers, forms and website.
The objectified symbolization in the logo: Inselmühle Usedom
The realization of the Inselmühle Usedom has been a nice customer project, because it picks up the historical building of the island mill and reflects it in an illustrative form.
We also created some concept designs for bottle labels for the client. Our favorite unfortunately didn't make it into the final selection, but gets to live on as inspiration in this blog post:
Coffee enjoyment with a roasty look: Kaluzny coffee machines.
Another logo that takes the flavor of the company's purpose directly in the roasty look is the brand development for Kaluzny coffee machines.
Rolled out in the corporate design, the new brand makes an inviting, enjoyable impression:
Rebranding and relaunch: the development from care company MeckCura.
One of our favorite clients since 2016 continues to be MeckCura Pflegedienst GmbH, for whom we were allowed to develop the complete corporate identity. From the name to the fonts used, the colors, illustrations, icons, card design and of course the logo as well as all print and online media.
The fact that a logo evolves is well illustrated by this example. Due to a change of shareholders, a new name and a new logo had to be created. No sooner said than done. In the picture above, you can see the first logo we developed in 2016. After five years, when the first facelift for the website and corporate communications was due, the logo was also touched again. Instead of a stooped posture towards the old lady, the helping person and the lady to be cared for now walk in one direction ... more upright and human than before. A nice positive development of the corporate identity.
Also a look at the website of the customer is worthwhile, because here many competences were realized by us for the customer:
Seriousness and naturalness in one: Regona Vita
For a company in the distribution of organic-based food supplements from North Rhine-Westphalia, we have already designed a modern logo in 2018. Especially the choice of colors creates the balancing act between seriousness and naturalness. The design of the letter O provides an illustrative and nature-related eye-catcher.
We also designed a label concept for the company:
Initials of the dentist visualized as teeth: Lars Wöller in Neubrandenburg.
We succeeded in a special highlight with the development of the corporate identity for the dentist Lars Wöller in Neubrandenburg. There we were able to visualize the initials as a logo in an absolutely appealing way. Here in the mockup view (it is already visible that we also have a favorite among our logo mockups:-)):
The whole thing rolled out in the corporate design then looks like this:
Animal embossing in logos: personal trainer
For a personal trainer, we created a brand inspired by a panther image. The result was a powerful logo, rolled out in a noble corporate design:
This was the second project for a Person Trainer. The first time we were inspired by the mythological figure of the horse Pegasus:
Now this was just an excerpt from a whole variety of logos we have created in the past. This selection shows well the range of design approaches for the conception of logos.
Cool stuff that (unfortunately) didn't make it to the finals
As the saying goes, "Good things take time". That something that is supposed to be good also takes time is clear to everyone, and the development of identity-appropriate corporate designs for agency clients is rarely an exception. Often, after a precise client briefing, we manage to hit the bull's eye on the first try. That's great, of course; in other cases, we first approach the common direction in individual (working) steps before the final logo in shape, color and form can be celebrated and applauded. In this article we want to give an insight into our logo design. Cool stuff, so to speak, that (unfortunately) didn't make it into the final.
Deciding what you don't want helps on the way to what you actually want. Seen in this light, visualizing a logo in two or three styles leads to the customer not only being satisfied in the end, but (over-) happy.
Let's plunge into the logo gallery now! However, the company names have been anonymized (with the exception of TutKit.com, since it is an in-house project):
Candidate for the security industry
Security is a really powerful phrase. When I think of the word "security", different conceptualizations trump each other in my mind, reaching back from modern times to early antiquity. Borrowing from the talented and strong citizens of the Greek metropolis of Sparta, we pictured this red ancient helmet in a modern polygonal structure as an association. Unfortunately, the helmet did not win the race in the end. It remained martial. It became a shield ;-)
Candidate for the food area
"Fish from here" was the cry in the customer briefing. For the opening of a new fish restaurant in Waren (Müritz) we were involved in the room concept as well as in the design and development of the brand with website, menu, illustrations, etc. We will present the complete project in detail here on our agency page after April 1, the launch date of the restaurant.
Along those lines, it was one of the projects where we created the most variety of logos. Here are three really wonderful logos that ended up being cut out by the final logo. Still, great results and a representation of different styles to express branding for a seafood restaurant. Which logo would be your favorite?
This is the logo it turned out to be, by the way: a simple stylized fish on a textural background, embedded here on the website.
