On November 2, the German SEO scene came together in Cologne for SEO Day. In 30 top-class presentations, visitors received the latest knowledge on search engine optimization with many tips and hacks as well as an AI-focused outlook on where the journey is heading.
I was also there as a speaker with the topic "Case Study: Fivefold increase in online visibility and clicks in 12 months", where I presented our SEO sprint for TutKit.com. Since I was asked several times via LinkedIn and also on site about the slides, here is the link to the presentation.
I recorded my SEO presentation today in our agency as a screencast to update my online course on search engine optimization. Here is the screencast of my presentation on how we were able to significantly increase our visibility ... including at least one impulse that will also improve your SEO work. I promise.
The relaunch checklist from the last slide referenced in the video can be found in this blog post on TutKit.com:

I was very pleased that I received a lot of positive feedback after the presentation from people on site, who approached me directly at the event and also in the club in the evening. I am also very happy about the digital feedback from two other SEO speakers and the CEO of Seobility:
In the overall speaker ranking, it wasn't enough for one of the top three places. Nevertheless, I am very satisfied with a score of 1.74. And the following feedback from Raphael Wiesweg is also nice (see right). As my grandma always said: If you can't be the best, at least be entertaining :-)
I also had the opportunity to listen to other speakers throughout the day. I particularly enjoyed these three talks:
- Joe Draxler: Faith is Absurd: A Best-of from 13 Years of Conversion Rate Optimization
- Jennifer Lapp: CRO vs SEO? Learnings from 100 HubSpot experiments
- Jan Brakebusch: Enterprise SEO in the future - What will be important!
Andreas Pabst's presentation on international SEO was also very exciting for us, as we are currently working on the multilingualism of TutKit.com ourselves. A nice gimmick in his presentation was the following presentation slide, which he prepared on the spot because he liked a statement in my presentation. Thank you for this recognition!
At the SEO Day we were able to meet the team from Seobility, the SEO software we work with very intensively. Here is a photo with the managing director Matthias Lugert.
In the evening, the day ended in a festive and relaxed atmosphere with live music in a Cologne club. My esteemed team colleague and SEO expert Jens Hammerschmidt was also there:
In summary: All in all, a worthwhile event that was very well prepared and organized on site at the Rhein-Energie-Stadion. We were able to make good new contacts and gain useful ideas for our own work. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Fabian Rossbacher and his team for preparing the event and Marco Lauerwald for moderating my presentation. Unfortunately, with three presentations running in parallel, it was not possible to attend all the speakers' presentations. So I'm already looking forward to the recordings, which will be made available later in the SEO Club.
Jens concluded just as positively that it is nice to see and also a confirmation of our work that we have largely done our SEO homework for our projects ... and just have to keep at it.
