For K&K Ferienimmobilien, the Kugelhaus homes at Lake Tollense went live as the sixth destination in 4eck Media’s WordPress MultiSite system. The system manages every location centrally from a single backend: Zwei Wasser in Wustrow, Malchow, Hafenresidenz Waren, Krakow, Zingst, and now Lake Tollense. The site integrates 3D tours through all twelve Kugelhaus homes, an interactive location plan, a booking system, and an illustrated map. It achieves strong PageSpeed scores, SecurityHeaders A+, and meets WCAG 2.1.
The Brief
With the website for the Kugelhaus homes at Lake Tollense, the sixth destination in K&K Ferienimmobilien’s WordPress MultiSite system goes live. The system enables central management of all locations from a single backend: Zwei Wasser in Wustrow, Malchow, Hafenresidenz Waren, Krakow, Zingst, and now Lake Tollense. The round architecture of the Kugelhaus homes is subtly reflected in layouts, spacing, and a color palette of sandy tones, natural wood, and water blue. The site guides guests through all content in a structured way and shows what a vacation at Lake Tollense is all about.
3D tours, interactive location plan, and illustrated map design
Visitors can step inside each of the twelve Kugelhaus homes digitally: the 3D tours provide a realistic sense of proportions, furnishings, and atmosphere. An interactive location plan, a clear booking system, and photos of both the outdoor areas and interiors round out the user experience. A lovingly illustrated map in the site’s style completes the harmonious layout. The WordPress MultiSite system grows with every new site while remaining lean and easy to administer. Every destination gets its own distinctive appearance while being fully anchored in the shared system technically.
PageSpeed, SecurityHeaders A+, and accessibility with a contrast switcher
The site achieves strong PageSpeed scores thanks to a resource-efficient architecture with modern image formats, optimized CSS, and clearly structured HTML. The security rating is A+ on the SecurityHeaders standard. Accessibility per WCAG 2.1 was thoroughly implemented. Because insufficient color contrast was detected in the automated test, instead of using an accessibility plugin we integrated a contrast switcher into the menu that boosts contrast with a single click – with no negative impact on PageSpeed. On-page quality was optimized using Seobility’s SEO tool.
