Blaue Maus - Restaurant & vacation apartments

The "Blaue Maus" restaurant is located in one of the oldest buildings in Mirow. For over 250 years, the venerable half-timbered building has been home to the traditional "Blaue Maus" restaurant for over 100 years. The "Blaue Maus" was opened in 1920 by Paul Handreak. As a pilot, he named the restaurant after his single-seater biplane, the Albatros DIII - affectionately known as the "Blue Mouse" because of its livery. The plane had a top speed of 165 km/h and an engine output of 170 hp.

The current owner Lars Pohlmann has been running the Blaue Mause since 2005. In 2017, a major refurbishment was carried out and the interior was adapted to contemporary tastes, while retaining the rustic charm and rustic coziness.

Now it was time to adapt the positioning. For this purpose, the corporate identity was revised by us as an agency.

The logo was provided in several versions and the corporate identity was defined with fonts, colors and illustrations. A particular highlight is the vectorization of the construction drawings of the Albatros DIII. This stylistic device with the aircraft cross-sections is the ideal decorative element for backgrounds in print designs, as an animated element in interactive job advertisements for social media, etc.

The menu received particular praise from guests, who positively emphasized the cross-section graphics of the Albatros DIII as a stylistic device. The menu is designed in such a way that it can be easily changed by the restaurant operator at any time as a cloud document via Google Docs.
